Summary of Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a variety of age-appropriate art activities that provide exposure to various art forms and techniques. Activities should be engaging, foster positive expression, strengthen self-esteem, and enhance the personal growth of program participants.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Plan engaging, weekly lessons providing basic instruction for students in grades 3-5
● Instruct students in a small group, classroom setting
● Provide exposure to a variety of techniques
● Utilize a variety of strategies to optimize student interest and participation
Requirements:
● Experience working with Elementary aged students
● Demonstrated interest and experience in Art instruction
● Passion for working with children, especially those with limited exposure to the Arts
● Highly professional demeanor and ability to adapt easily
● Previous experience working in a diverse, out-of-school setting is preferred
● Availability on weekday afternoons (1-5pm)
